Brother John Martin Sahajananda is a disciple of Father Bede Griffiths. He was the spiritual director of Shantivanam Ashram in Tamil Nadu, where Father Bede spent most of his time in India, from 1993 to 2018. He now lives outside the ashram, returning there to teach whenever there is a need.
Brother Martin has been a treasured friend of the Bede Griffiths Sangha since it began, and a speaker on many of its retreats. As well as visiting the UK he travels widely to other European countries and the USA.
